Big Rat – Entergy at Pilgrim

Entergy (also the owner at Vermont Yankee nuke that is currently operating without a license) at the Pilgrim Nuke has locked out the workers for not accepting a terrible contract. The workers (ok, scabs) who have been called in from around the country to cross the picket lines and do the union workers jobs, have their own issues too. They were brought in, but they have gone public with not knowing how to run the equipment at this particular nuke. And Entergy expects to TRUST them that they are keeping us safe and that they have the PUBLIC good at heart? Come on!!!

Entergy Rat

Entergy is a Rat – to the workers and to the public!!

Picnic at the Planet – Action on Aug 21

I am taking part in an event which could benefit very much from exposure to active New Hampshire citizens such as those who visit your website. Would you consider adding our event to your page? We will be picnicking and rallying at the Seabrook NH Nuclear Power plant on August 21st to bring awareness and opposition to the dangers of nuclear power as our energy source. We will be gathering at the plant’s North Gate starting at noon, then we will parade to its South Gate. Attached is a flyer with more information– If you could post the flyer or our event details we would be grateful– Let us know if this is possible, or whether you require any more information.

Spring Actions – from NIRS

Dear Friends,
As you probably have heard, a new earthquake struck Japan today. We’ve seen it reported at everywhere from 7.1 to 7.9 magnitude. Officials at Fukushima Daiichi say there was no additional damage at that site, but since the earthquake hit at 11:30 pm Japan time, and it is still the middle of the night there at this writing (4:00 pm US eastern time), it’s probably too early to tell for sure.
